Smaglick says the organizations first raised the issue with Cardinal Joseph Tobin almost two years ago, asking for a change.

A spokesperson for Seton Hall said: “The WSOU Advisory Board, made up of WSOU students and alumni, as well as clergy and administrators from Seton Hall University, meets regularly to review the content and operating policies and standards of the station.

The statement continued, “The goal is to ensure that WSOU continues to achieve its long-standing mission, goals and operational procedures. Incorporate and further integrate Catholic mission and ministry into WSOU’s broad and popular programming. is always a priority. “
